These sessions are a "light-touch" version of DBT therapy. DBT therapy can be very intense and that isn't for everyone. These sessions are a gentle and versatile form of DBT, and we decide together what aspects of DBT will be most helpful for you. Maybe you have been recommended this treatment previously but did not like the idea of a group setting, or you just want to focus on a particular aspect of it. Relationships can be tough, even if you have your soulmate in front of you! Learn a therapists 'basics' in what helps relationships run smoothly, what makes them destruct, and the chance to ask any questions so we can problem-solve together. Well, instead of criticising ourselves, we can learn exactly what is happening in our brain that makes us act the way we do when we're stressed. Complex neuroscience is broken down into simple terms, and we learn why we do what we do when we reach our limit (and, what we can do to bring us down once we've got there!). This group takes the practical aspects of DBT therapy, and teaches them as 'skills' in a psychoeducational workshop. We will cover one or two of the skills from a particular area of DBT per session. It's always exciting to build and deliver new workshops! If you'd like something more tailored to be delivered to a group, please get in touch. It's okay if you aren't exactly sure what you are looking for, our expertise can help with that. The prices will depend on the number of people, the duration and the content. We deliver to schools, corporations and other organisations, or even just a few friends who all have a shared interest. I ensure to charge competitive prices. Sessions are by appointment only and can be out of usual business hours. However, I usually respond to queries Monday - Friday between 8am and 6pm, and on Saturdays between 10am - 4pm. I will usually get back to you in less than two working days.
