These DBT-Informed sessions are a "lite" version of DBT intensive. DBT intensive requires a lot of commitment and hard work over a potentially lengthy period of time, which isn't for everyone.
DBT Lite sessions have more flexibility. We will work with the DBT model to address issues in the areas that DBT focuses on: building emotion regulation skills, tolerance to difficult emotions, managing self-destructive behaviours and addressing difficulties around relationships.
We will agree together how you would like to structure these sessions, dependent on your needs.
This may be more appropriate for people who do not feel they require DBT Intensive, but still relate to the difficulties noted. It may be an alternative for someone who has been recommended a DBT group but did not feel comfortable in a group environment, or weren't able to attend regularly due to other commitments.

Sessions are by appointment only and can be out of usual business hours. However, I usually respond to queries Monday - Friday between 8am and 6pm, and on Saturdays between 10am - 4pm. I will usually get back to you in less than two working days.
